Using SQL 2 Excel in Joomla frontend PDF Print E-mail
You can publish all or some of your reports to the Joomla frontend. You can set access permission on Sections, Categories, Workbooks and down to individual Worksheets. This gives you the ability to distribute your spreadsheets to a select user group - if needed.

For more information on how to control access, see SQL 2 Excel access permissions.

How to Publish your Workbooks in the frontend?

You can make your Excel spreadsheets available in the frontend in three different ways:
Publish a menu to SQL 2 Excel
sql2excel_demo_frontend_sectlist
Using the SQL 2 Excel Module
sql2excel_demo_frontend_module
Direct Links
sql2excel_demo_frontend_dlinks
Click on the thumbnails above to learn more.

How are these Workbooks defined?

The demo has two different Workbooks defined. Please see this page for the details on how they were defined.

Hello, I need users to input data into fields such as "sales Goals" so our managers can view the sales data.
For example week 4, May2010, into a cell. Sort of a colloboration with excel type spreadsheets.
Do you understand what I am asking? Would this be the correct solution?

@pokeman: SQL 2 Excel generates Excel Spreadsheets from data in your database. You can't import/update data in the database using SQL 2 Excel. But there are tons of other extensions which can upload data that you could use for that part. SQL 2 Excel can generate reports from anything that's in your database.

Hi, can SQL 2 Excel display information based on the logged in user?

For example, User A & User B submitted an order form and when they logged in, I want them to be able to see only the form they submitted in the Joomla user menu.

Thanks!

@submiturl : You can use substitution variables in the SQL query so that the report only shows the current users info/submission etc.
